Terms of Service

Aethel lets you import documents and ebooks you already own, translate them, listen to AI-generated narration and ask an AI assistant about the text. Features may change or be withdrawn as the product develops.

You must be at least 18 years old and provide an accurate email address. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately at support@aethel.app if you suspect unauthorised use.

You keep all rights to the files you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to store, parse, translate and narrate them so the service works for you. You confirm you have the right to upload each file and that doing so does not infringe anyone's copyright. We do not use your files to train AI models.

Do not upload material you have no right to use, attempt to bypass usage limits or payment, resell generated audio as your own product, reverse-engineer the service, or use it to produce unlawful, harassing or deceptive content. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Paid memberships start with a 7-day free trial with fair-use allowances. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan you chose renews automatically at the advertised price each month or year until cancelled. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply where you live. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

You can cancel at any time from the Plan screen. Cancellation takes effect immediately: paid features switch off and your library stays in your account in read-only form. See our Refund Policy for money back.

Translations, explanations, dossiers and narration are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. They are not financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Verify anything you rely on.

We aim for a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the app. The agreement is governed by the laws of Poland, and the courts of Poland have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your own country.
